Doing Good and Making Beauty

As we reflect back on the events of 10 years ago and look ahead to the next, I have this need to offset the wrong and ugliness that happens in this world. My mantra has become to do good – in the neighborhood, community, or opposite corner of the world – and make beauty. I can’t make it all right or fix everything, but as my son’s coach reminded his team at orientation a couple of weeks ago, it all starts with the power of one.
